Andrew Warwick-Thompson was named executive director for defined contribution, governance and administration at The Pensions Regulator, which is responsible for regulating occupational pension plans in the U.K.
Mr. Warwick-Thompson will replace Mike Lazenby, who was appointed to the role on an interim basis in 2012, according to a government spokesman. Mr. Lazenby couldn't be reached for comment on his future plans.
Mr. Warwick-Thompson was a partner at Aon Hewitt, responsible for global DC and investment solutions within the firm's international retirement and investment practice.
