Peter Zabierek was named CEO of Presima, a Montreal-based manager of global real estate securities, confirmed Michelle Clement, coordinator of clients and business development for the firm.
Mr. Zabierek, who will join the company next month, replaces Nick Basile, who had been acting CEO since April 2012, Ms. Clement said in an e-mail Tuesday. Mr. Basile will remain on Presima’s board of directors.
Mr. Zabierek had been managing director and co-head of global real estate securities at Urdang, the real estate investment subsidiary of BNY Mellon. Mike Dunn, a spokesman for BNY Mellon, declined to comment.
