Phoenix Employees' Deferred Compensation Board will search for an investment consultant in early to mid-April, said Kathy Schelbrock, senior human resources analyst for the city.
The city requires the board to put the services out to bid every five years. Current consultant R.V. Kuhns & Associates is invited to rebid.
The board oversees the city's $1 billion 457 plan and $258 million 401(a) plan.
Separately, the board extended the contract for third-party administrator Nationwide Financial, through May 6, 2014, according to recently released board meeting minutes.
