Larry Hilsheimer is gone from Nationwide Retirement Plans, seven months after becoming president and chief operating officer.
John Carter, president of NFS Distributors Inc., Nationwide's sales and distribution arm, is replacing Mr. Hilsheimer, but spokesman Dace de la Foret said his title hasn't been determined.
Mr. Hilsheimer left “to pursue other interests,” Mr. de la Foret said.
Neither Mr. Carter nor Mr. Hilsheimer could be reached for comment.
Dave Giertz, vice president of sales for Nationwide Financial, will replace Mr. Carter as president of NFS Distributors.
In August, Mr. Hilsheimer, who had been president and chief operating officer of Nationwide Mutual Insurance's direct, affinity and growth solutions business, swapped jobs with Anne Arvia, who had been in charge of the retirement plans unit. At the time, Nationwide described the job switch as a way to give top executives experience in different parts of Nationwide's businesses.
Nationwide had $80.4 billion in record-keeping assets as of Dec. 31, Mr. de la Foret said.
