Shizu Kishimoto was named president of BNY Mellon Asset Management Japan, effective April 1, confirmed Louisa Bartoszek, London-based spokeswoman for the firm.
Ms. Kishimoto will replace Shogo Yamaguchi. Mr. Yamaguchi, in turn, will take on the title of chairman of BNY Mellon Asset Management’s business in Japan from Alan Harden, the CEO of Asia-Pacific business. In their new positions, both Ms. Kishimoto and Mr. Yamaguchi will report to Mr. Harden.
Ms. Kishimoto now serves as head of retail sales and marketing for BNY Mellon’s investment management business in Japan. Ms. Bartoszek said a replacement will be announced in the near future.
Both Ms. Kishimoto and Mr. Yamaguchi also hold the title of representative director of BNY Mellon Asset Management Japan and will continue to serve in that capacity after April 1.
