University of Oklahoma, Norman, is searching for an investment consultant for its four defined contribution plans, confirmed Nathan Baird, administrative manager in the university's purchasing department.
The plans — two 401(a) plans, a 457(b) and 403(b) — have a combined $1.5 billion in assets. Fidelity Investments and TIAA-CREF are the providers, and Fidelity is designated as the “master record keeper,” according to an RFP on the university’s website.
Incumbent R.V. Kuhns & Associates is invited to rebid. The university is looking for one consultant for all four plans, Mr. Baird said in an e-mail. The selected firm will work with the Retirement Plans Management Committee.
The RFP is available on the university's website. Proposals are due at 2 p.m. CDT March 28. A hiring decision has not been determined, but the contract is slated to start July 1.
