Christopher Kelleher was named senior managing director and head of institutional asset management at Newfleet Asset Management, confirmed spokesman Jon Brubaker.
It is a new position. Mr. Kelleher will oversee implementing the management of Newfleet’s strategies to institutional clients and consultants. He reports to David L. Albrycht, president and chief investment officer.
Mr. Kelleher joined Newfleet last year as managing director and senior portfolio manager. He will continue to co-manage three Virtus mutual funds and will not be replaced in his prior position, Mr. Brubaker said.
Newfleet, an affiliated manager of Virtus Investment Partners, has $10.7 billion in assets under management in fixed-income strategies.
