New York State Common Retirement Fund, Albany, posted a 1.74% investment return for the three months ended Dec. 31, confirmed Eric Sumberg, a spokesman for New York state Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli, the sole trustee of the pension fund.
Assets rose to $152.9 billion for the third quarter of the pension fund's fiscal year vs. the $150.1 billion for the three months ended Sept. 30. The pension fund had an investment return of 4.07% for the quarter ended Sept. 30.
