On Tuesday, HSBC released its eighth annual The Future of Retirement survey, which is based on responses from people of working age (25 and older) across 15 countries. Among the findings was that, on average, 48% of respondents have never saved specifically for retirement. The majority of non-savers reside in higher-income nations such as France, Australia and the U.K. Thirty-one percent of respondents from the U.S. indicated they have never specifically saved for retirement.
