Larimer County, Fort Collins, Colo., is searching for at least one bundled provider for its 401(a) and 457(b) plans, confirmed Kathryn Rowe, purchasing director.
Principal Financial Group is currently the sole provider for the $137 million 401(a) plan; The Hartford and Nationwide Retirement Solutions are the providers for the $22 million 457 plan. All three providers are invited to rebid.
The retirement board could hire one provider for both plans, one for each plan or keep the current structure, Ms. Rowe said in a telephone interview.
The RFP is available on the county's website. Proposals are due at 2 p.m. MST Feb. 25. Interviews are tentatively scheduled for the week of March 25, with a hiring decision in the first week of April.
