Timothy Yates has joined Commonfund Capital as a managing director responsible for constructing portfolios for separate and custom accounts, and David Jensen as an associate director focusing on private equity, confirmed spokesman Keith Luke.
Both positions are new.
Mr. Yates was a managing director and member of parent Commonfund’s strategic solutions team. Mr. Jensen specialized in private equity, venture capital and emerging markets at Portfolio Advisors, a private equity firm, Mr. Luke said. Commonfund is “actively recruiting” to find a replacement for Mr. Yates, Mr. Luke said.
Paul Crotty, managing director at Portfolio Advisors, said his firm doesn’t comment on personnel matters.
Commonfund Capital is a subsidiary of the $25 billion Commonfund, Wilton, Conn. Commonfund Capital, with $12 billion in assets under management, invests in global private equity, venture capital and natural resources.
