Drew Murphy and Graeme Conway were named senior managing directors at Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets, a division of the Macquarie Group, confirmed spokeswoman Paula Chirhart.
They are both new positions and based in New York.
“They were brought in to bolster existing management,” Ms. Chirhart said in a telephone interview.
Mr. Murphy will focus on coordination among Macquarie-owned assets across all sector capabilities for MIRA's funds in the Americas. Mr. Conway will lead the origination and transaction efforts for MIRA in the Americas. They will both report to Martin Stanley, director and global head of MIRA.
Mr. Murphy was most recently executive vice president and head of strategy and M&A at NRG Energy. Mr. Conway was head of Macquarie Capital's European advisory business; he was involved in similar transactions on the investment banking side as he will be with MIRA funds.
Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets manages 48 funds with $104 billion in assets under management.
