Kansas Public Employees Retirement System, Topeka, committed $50 million to EnCap Energy Capital Fund IX, a private equity oil and gas fund managed by EnCap Investments, confirmed spokeswoman Kristen Basso.
The $13.6 billion pension fund also committed $40 million to Harrison Street Real Estate Partners IV, an opportunistic real estate fund managed by Harrison Street Real Estate Capital.
KPERS committed $25 million and $30 million to the predecessor EnCap and Harrison Street funds, respectively, Ms. Basso said.
Real estate consultant Townsend Group assisted.
