Jon Bailie was named head of Western Europe and Latin America at Pioneer Investments, confirmed spokeswoman Suzanne Flynn.
Mr. Bailie replaces Sandro Pierri, who was appointed global CEO of Pioneer Investments and head of asset management at parent UniCredit in July.
Part of the responsibilities of Mr. Pierri's previous position, CEO of Pioneer Investments, Italy, and head of Western Europe and international, including Asia and Latin America, were assumed by Jack Lin, who was named head of Asia and Middle East in January 2012.
Mr. Pierri had continued his responsibilities in Western Europe and Latin America since July.
Mr. Bailie, who will join Pioneer in April and will be based in London, is currently global head of distribution and a member of the executive committee at AXA Investment Managers.
Dominique Carrel-Billiard, CEO of AXA Investment Managers, will take on Mr. Bailie's responsibilities while the firm searches for a replacement, spokeswoman Amy Butler wrote in an e-mail.
