Plymouth County (Mass.) Retirement Association is searching for an active domestic small-cap growth equity manager to run $36 million and an active emerging markets equity manager to run $20 million, confirmed William Farmer, executive director of the $670 million pension fund.
The Boston Co. Asset Management manages both portfolios and is invited to rebid, Mr. Farmer said in a telephone interview. The search is the result of Massachusetts Public Employee Retirement Administration Commission regulations that require contracts to be put out to bid at least once every five years.
Wainwright Investment Counsel, the pension fund's investment consultant, has the RFPs on its website. Proposals for both RFPs are due at 2 p.m. EST Feb. 4.
Hiring decisions are expected in March or April.
