Illinois Teachers' Retirement System, Springfield, issued an RFP for one or more active and passive emerging markets equities managers to run as much as a total of $700 million.
Both established and emerging investment managers may be considered for the assignment. The deadline for RFP submissions is Jan. 25.
Finalists likely will be selected at the May 22-24 board of trustees meeting, according to the RFP documents.
R.V. Kuhns & Associates, general investment consultant to the $37.5 billion pension fund, is assisting.
