University of Maine hooks CAPTRUST Financial as investment consultant

University of Maine System, Bangor, hired CAPTRUST Financial Advisors as investment consultant for its 403(b) and 457 plans, confirmed Tracy Elliott, director of finance and controller.

CAPTRUST is the first external investment consultant for the plans, which have combined assets of $1 billion. The system issued an RFP in August.

Other finalists were Cammack LaRhette, Callan Associates and Portfolio Evaluations.
