Creve Coeur (Mo.) Employee Pension Plan is looking for at least one investment manager, confirmed Dan Smith, city director of finance.
The $17 million pension fund is looking “to hire a manager (or managers) to implement and monitor an investment strategy for the fund,” according to an RFP. Mr. Smith said the pension fund will consider both active and passive equity and fixed-income managers, and will consider recommendations from the selected firm for a future asset allocation.
The current targets are 55% to 65% equity and 35% to 45% fixed income. Commerce Trust Co. is the current investment manager for the pension fund and is invited to rebid.
The RFP is available from the city’s website. Proposals are due at 10 a.m. CST on Jan. 7. Finalists will be selected on Jan. 21, with a final selection scheduled for March 3.
