Colorado Fire & Police Pension Association, Greenwood Village, rehired BNY Mellon as global custodian and Gabriel Roeder Smith as actuarial consultant, and committed $50 million to three alternatives managers, confirmed Dan Slack, CEO of the $3.4 billion pension fund.
RFPs were issued in September for custodial and actuarial services. Investment consultant Pension Consulting Alliance assisted.
The pension fund also committed $30 million to Scout Capital Partners II, a long/short equity hedge fund managed by Scout Capital Management, and $15 million to Raven Asset-Based Loan Opportunity Fund 1, a loan fund managed by Raven Capital Management.
The pension fund also committed an additional $5 million to natural resources fund Energy & Minerals Group II, Mr. Slack said in a telephone interview. It committed $10 million to the fund in May.
Albourne Partners assisted with the hedge fund commitment; PCA with the other two commitments.
