OMNOVA Solutions Inc., Fairlawn, Ohio, hired Fidelity Investments as record keeper of its 401(k) plan, confirmed spokeswoman Sandi Noah.
An RFP was issued earlier this year because of the pending contract expiration of current record keeper PNC Institutional Investments, which was eligible to rebid. Ms. Noah could not provide finalist information.
A blackout period for participants will begin at 4 p.m. EST Dec. 20 and end during the week of Jan. 20.
The OMNOVA Solutions Retirement Savings Plan had $80 million in assets as of Dec. 31, 2011, according to the company's most recent 11-K filing.
A phone call to Kristine C. Syrvalin, vice president, human resources administration and assistant general counsel, was not returned by press time.
