Jordan R. Gershuny was named director of the client advisory group at event-driven hedge fund manager JANA Partners.
The position is new. Mr. Gershuny will oversee sales, marketing and investor relations, confirmed Charles Penner, partner for the activist manager, in an e-mail.“We've always valued the depth and substance of our investor relationships, and we are confident that those bonds will now grow even stronger given Jordan's experience and track record,” said Barry Rosenstein, managing partner of JANA Partners, in a company news release.
Mr. Gershuny was a partner and global head of the client advisory group at multistrategy hedge fund manager FrontPoint Partners, which closed earlier this year.
Investments and commitments in JANA investment strategies totaled $3.9 billion as of Nov. 30.
