Dennis R. Sugino was named managing director at value equity firm Aristotle Capital Management, confirmed Steve Borowski, president.
It is a new position.
Mr. Sugino was co-founder and president of alternatives consultant Cliffwater. He retired from the firm in February and was not replaced.
Mr. Sugino will become the fifth member of Aristotle Capital’s executive leadership team and play an active role in helping to identify and evaluate new global investment strategies. He has a “wealth of knowledge that we can tap into and use to grow the firm,” Mr. Borowski said in a telephone interview.
Aristotle had $2.1 billion assets as of Sept. 30.
