Charles Thomas “Tom” Tull was named interim chief investment officer of the $24.9 billion Texas Employees Retirement System, Austin.
Mr. Tull takes over for Jacqueline Johnson, who retired on Oct. 31, said Mary Jane Wardlow, an ERS spokeswoman, in an e-mail.
“No search is planned at this time, as Tom fulfills this role,” Ms. Wardlow wrote.
Mr. Tull is director of strategic research, a role he will retain for now while serving as interim CIO, Ms. Wardlow said, since there are no immediate plans to seek his replacement.
