Los Angeles City Employees' Retirement System hired active high-yield fixed-income managers Franklin Advisers and Aegon USA Investment Management to run about $140 million each, according to the minutes from the $11.4 billion pension fund's Nov. 13 board meeting and the RFP.
The selections were made following an RFP launched in June.
Funding for the hires could not be learned. Linda Aparicio, LACERS spokeswoman did not respond to questions seeking further information by press time.
