Wyoming County Deferred Compensation Plan, Warsaw, N.Y., rehired Hartford Retirement Services as bundled provider, confirmed Cheryl Mayer, county treasurer.
The $11.5 million 457 plan issued an RFP in September because of the pending expiration of the current contract on Dec. 31. A new five-year contract begins on Jan. 1.
Ms. Mayer said in a telephone interview that the county's finance committee, which made the decision, is aware of the pending sale of the retirement services division and the contract will transfer to the buyer when the transaction is closed.
Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance announced in September its intention to buy the business, with an expected close at the end of the year.
There were no finalist interviews, according to Ms. Mayer.
