Wichita (Kan.) Employees 457 Deferred Compensation Plan is searching for a consultant to assist with an RFP process for a plan administrator, confirmed Ryan Adkison, assistant pension manager for the city.
Hyas Group is the $61 million plan's consultant, but its contract does not include the scope of developing RFPs. Hyas is invited to bid, Mr. Adkison said.
Great-West Retirement Services has been the plan's provider since 1991. The city is looking to issue an RFP in the second or third quarter of 2013, with a hiring decision by the end of the year. Great-West's contract expires next summer.

Proposals are due at 3 p.m. CST Dec. 14. A hiring decision is expected by the end of March.
