Alex Francois joined William Blair & Co. as head of Australia and New Zealand institutional distribution.
It is a new position.
Mr. Francois, in an e-mail, said he will report to Dan Charles, the firm’s global head of business development and client service.
Mr. Francois was head of distribution-investments at Provident Capital in Sydney. A spokeswoman for Provident said the firm is shutting down.
