Chicago Policemen's Annuity & Benefit Fund is searching for a recruitment firm to find a new executive director for the $3 billion pension fund, according to documents on the pension fund's website.
John J. Gallagher Jr., the current executive director, is leaving the Chicago police pension fund Nov. 30 to become executive director of the $12.4 billion Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund, Columbus.
Regina Tuczak, comptroller, will become acting executive director, effective Dec. 1. According to the RFP, Ms. Tuczak can apply for the permanent position.
The RFP is available on the police pension fund's website.
Proposals are due by 4 p.m. CDT Oct. 26. Trustees will review the RFP responses at their Oct. 30 board meeting, and three to five finalists will be interviewed at the Nov. 29 board meeting.
