Data released Tuesday by Preqin reveal that global closed-end private real estate fundraising rose slightly during the third quarter. Twenty six funds closed a total of $9 billion, up 8.4% from the amount raised in the prior quarter. North American-focused funds raised the most capital ($4.2 billion), followed by Asian- and then European-focused funds with $2.5 billion and $2 billion, respectively.
