Neil G. Budnick was named by Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy as chairman of the state Investment Advisory Council, which advises on investment policies of the $24.3 billion Connecticut Retirement Plans & Trust Funds, Hartford.
Mr. Budnick will advise state Treasurer Denise Nappier, the principal fiduciary of the Connecticut Retirement Plans & Trust Funds, which has six state pension funds and eight state trust funds.
His term will run through June 30, 2015, David Bednarz, a spokesman for Mr. Malloy, said in an e-mail.
Mr. Budnick, a managing director of the management consulting firm Channel Rock Partners, succeeds Joseph Roxe, who was chairman from April 2009 through August 2012.
