Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund, Columbus, returned 2.4% in the fiscal year ended June 30, confirmed spokesman David Graham.
The $12.4 billion pension fund's best-performing asset class was global inflation-protected securities at 26.1%, followed by real estate, which returned 14.6% and private markets at 10.3%.
Among its other asset classes, high-yield fixed income returned 7.7%; core fixed income, 6.8%; mortgage assets, 5.3%; domestic equity, 2.2%; and non-U.S. equity, -13.2%.
As of Aug. 31, the pension fund's actual allocation was 34.1% domestic equity; 22.3% non-U.S. equity; 11.3% fixed income, which includes mortgages; 9.9% real estate; 9.5% high-yield fixed income; 7.8% global inflation-protected securities; 4.1% private markets; 0.5% cash; and 0.5% timber.
