Joshua Silva joined hedge funds-of-funds manager Attalus Capital as senior portfolio strategist.
Mr. Silva will work with Attalus’ institutional clients on investment strategies, such as inflation protection and tail-risk hedging which require a customized approach for each portfolio, said James Tufts, COO, in an interview.
Because of his strong trading background, with 12 years of experience trading equity derivatives, Mr. Silva also will work closely with Attalus’ internal trading and risk-management teams to refine and enhance current risk calibration and benchmark replication strategies, Mr. Tufts said.
Mr. Silva was a managing director of equity derivatives trading at Credit Suisse Group and was responsible for overseeing the U.S. single stock option flow derivatives trading team and managing its risk, according to the news release.
Attalus managed $1.071 billion as of June 30 for an entirely institutional client base.
