David Pappalardo was named senior vice president and head of Segal Rogerscasey's advisers solutions group, confirmed spokeswoman Mary Feldman.
It is a new position.
The group provides access to Segal Rogercasey's research on investment managers, portfolio structure and asset allocation.
Mr. Pappalardo will report to John DeMairo, president and CEO, and Timothy R. Barron, chief investment officer.
Mr. Pappalardo was senior vice president and global relationship management leader at GE Asset Management. He was replaced by Alasdair Philip last year, said Chris Linehan, spokesman for GE Asset Management.
Mr. Pappalardo had been director, investment consulting, for Rogerscasey from 2001 to 2007 prior to joining GE Asset Management.
