Louisiana Teachers' Retirement System, Baton Rouge, hired Loomis Sayles to manage up to $400 million in active domestic core-plus fixed income, confirmed Philip Griffith, the $13.4 billion pension fund's chief investment officer.
A solicitation for proposals was issued in June. Other finalists were Janus Capital Group, Pacific Investment Management Co. and Reams Asset Management.
The funding sources will be international equities and mortgage-only assets. No managers were terminated.
