Kentucky Retirement Systems, Frankfort, is searching for a global custodian, confirmed T.J. Carlson, chief investment officer of the $13.7 billion pension fund.
Incumbent Northern Trust is invited to rebid.
A firm will be hired to provide global custodial services, record keeping, accounting services, performance measurement, analytics, support for an unbundled securities-lending program and other services, according to the RFP. Deutsche Bank was hired earlier this year to provide securities-lending services.
Investment consultant R.V. Kuhns is assisting in the search.
The RFP is available on KRS' website. Proposals are due Sept. 28. A hiring decision is expected in November.
