Patrick Krolak, a partner and managing director of Marquette Associates, died in an automobile accident Saturday. He was 42.
In an e-mail, Brian Wrubel, president and CEO of the investment consulting firm, noted the same accident claimed the lives of Mr. Krolak's parents. Mr. Krolak “will be sorely missed as a partner and a good friend,” Mr. Wrubel said.
Mr. Krolak, a 17-year veteran of the firm, was investment consultant to some of Marquette's biggest retainer clients. In an e-mail, Justin Breitfelder, a spokesman for the firm, said those relationships will be moved to other senior investment consultants at Marquette.
Details of a memorial service for Mr. Krolak to be held in Chicago weren't immediately available. Mr. Brietfelder said they will be posted on Marquette's website.
