Oklahoma Firefighters Pension and Retirement System, Oklahoma City, will issue an RFP for an investment consultant next week, confirmed Robert Jones, executive director of the $1.7 billion pension fund.
The RFP should be available on Monday, Mr. Jones said in a telephone interview. Incumbent Asset Consulting Group is invited to rebid. It is the first consultant RFP the retirement system has issued since hiring Asset Consulting Group in 1998.
The RFP will be available on the system's website. A decision is expected at the end of December.
Separately, Mr. Jones said allocations had been determined for the four managers hired in June for international and emerging markets equity mandates. WCM Investment Management and Chautauqua Capital Management each received $36 million for international growth equity strategies. ClariVest Asset Management will receive $45 million in emerging markets equity and Wasatch Advisors received $20 million for emerging markets small-cap equity.
