State Street Corp., Boston, hired Fidelity Investments as record keeper for its $2 billion Salary Savings Plan, according to an 8-K filing with the SEC.
The change is effective Oct. 1. A blackout period for participants will begin at 4 p.m. EDT on Sept. 21 and end the week of Oct. 7.
The firm listed ING U.S. Retirement Services as the plan's record keeper in its most recent Form 5500 filing, as of Dec. 31, 2010.
Alicia Curran Sweeney, spokeswoman, said the firm had no comment.
