Bartlett R. Geer will join BlackRock's fundamental equity team in September as a managing director, confirmed Jessica Greaney, a spokeswoman for BlackRock.
Mr. Geer's exact role and location have yet to be announced, said Ms. Greaney.
Mr. Geer comes to BlackRock from Putnam Investments, where he served as portfolio manager of the $3.6 billion Putnam Equity Income fund.
Darren A. Jaroch will replace Mr. Geer as portfolio manager of that domestic large-cap value fund, confirmed Laura McNamara, a spokeswoman for Putnam. Mr. Jaroch will continue to manage the $192 million Putnam International Value fund, as well as international and global institutional portfolios.
