Paul Schulte was named head of investment strategy for Asia-Pacific in BNY Mellon's investment management unit, company spokeswoman Louisa Bartoszek said.
The position is new.
Based in Hong Kong, Mr. Schulte will report to Alan Harden, CEO for BNY Mellon's Asia-Pacific investment management division, and Jack Malvey, chief global market strategist for investment management.
“We will look to Paul to interpret macro trends throughout this fast-growing region, and to participate in the development of top-performing investment strategies and products for Asian investors,” Mr. Harden said in a news release.
Mr. Schulte was global head of financial strategy at China Construction Bank International Securities. Efforts to reach CCBIS officials were unsuccessful.
