Douglas Vander Linde was named director, solutions and business development, for the Americas, on Towers Watson's investment services team, confirmed spokesman Ed Emerman.
It is a new position.
Mr. Vander Linde will focus on business development initiatives in the Americas and will work with the investment team in Europe, the Middle East and Africa on developing new investment solutions. He will report to Chris DeMeo, head of investments, Americas.
Mr. Vander Linde was head of business development for Mercer's investments business. His responsibilities were taken over by existing Mercer employees, said Bruce Lee, Mercer spokesman.
