Sinead Colton was named global investment strategist at Mellon Capital Management, based in London, confirmed spokesman Mike Dunn.
She replaced Tony Garvin. Mr. Garvin left the firm in December; Mr. Dunn did not have further information. Efforts to reach Mr. Garvin were unsuccessful.
Ms. Colton was managing director, multiasset strategies, at BlackRock in London. BlackRock spokesman Jonathan Mullen did not return a phone call by press time.
