Nevada Deferred Compensation Committee, Carson City, hired Hartford Retirement Services as bundled provider for its $566 million 457 plan and $17 million FICA alternative plan, confirmed Rex Reed, chairman of the committee.
The hire is pending contract negotiations. The backup provider is ING, said Mr. Reed.
The contract of incumbents ING and Hartford are expiring Dec. 31 and the governing board requires an RFP be issued every five years.
The committee chose to switch to a single provider. An RFP was issued in March. Great-West Retirement Services and Nationwide Financial were the other finalists.
