Norway pension fund assets up 4.2% through June

Norges Bank's monthly balance released today shows that assets of the world's second-largest sovereign wealth fund are up 4.2% since the beginning of 2012. Assets of Norway's Government Pension Fund Global totaled $596.8 billion as of June 30, up 14.5% from a year earlier, and 1.6% from the previous month. Norges Bank Investment Management oversees the Norway fund.
