Jeffrey Passmore joined Standish Mellon Asset Management as senior liability strategist.
The position is new. Mr. Passmore, an actuary, will bolster the actuarial capabilities of the firm’s liability-driven investing business, according to a news release from parent company BNY Mellon. LDI strategies account for more than $12 billion of the firm’s $92 billion as of March 31, according to the release.
Mr. Passmore joins from Buck Consultants,where he served as a principal, providing investment consulting services to corporate retirement plans and other institutional investors.
Buck spokesman Ed Gadowski didn’t immediately have information on plans to replace Mr. Passmore.
