Texas Education Agency, Austin, is searching for a firm to provide administration and record-keeping services for its 403(b) plan, confirmed spokeswoman Suzanne Marchman.
The agency, which oversees the $24 billion Texas Permanent School Fund, also wants the selected firm to conduct financial audits as necessary, according to the RFQ.
Ms. Marchman was unable to provide the size of the 403(b) plan and the current third-party administrator by press time.
The RFQ is available on the state's procurement website at http://esbd.cpa.state.tx.us/bid_show.cfm?bidid=101262. Proposals are due at 2 p.m. CDT July 31. A hiring decision is expected by Sept. 3.
