Taunton (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is searching for four international equity managers to each run $7 million, confirmed Steven Roth, director of manager research at Dahab Associates, the $205 million pension fund's investment consultant.
Interested firms can submit proposals for any of four international equity strategies being sought — value, growth, small cap and emerging markets. Mr. Roth said three or four of those subclasses will likely be funded. There is currently no exposure to international small-cap or emerging markets equity.
The search is open to passive and active mandates and is open to ACWI ex-US and EAFE portfolios. All current portfolios are active strategies.
Incumbent international equity managers Boston Co. Asset Management, EARNEST Partners and American Funds, which manage a combined $28 million, are invited to rebid, Mr. Roth said in a telephone interview.
The RFP is available on Dahab's website. Proposals are due at noon EDT July 30. A hiring date has not been decided, Mr. Roth said.
