St. Louis Police Retirement System hired Cheiron as actuarial consultant, confirmed Stephen G. Olish, executive director of the $638 million system, in an e-mail.
An RFP was issued last October following the resignation of Mercer, which no longer offers consulting services to public pension plans.
Other finalists were Gabriel Roeder Smith and Milliman.
