College of William & Mary, Williamsburg, Va., is searching for a domestic large-cap growth equity manager to run $2 million to $3 million for the Board of Visitors' $7 million endowment fund, confirmed Gary Hundley, senior procurement officer.
Wells Fargo is assisting.
The Board of Visitors endowment is one of seven endowment and foundation funds that make up the $624.7 million college endowment fund.
The RFP is to replace an existing manager whose contract is expiring, but Mr. Hundley couldn't identify the manager by press time. The contract is for one year with seven one-year renewal options.
The selected firm should have a minimum of $1 billion in assets under management, $500 million in assets under management in domestic large-cap growth equity and at least five endowment clients, the RFP said.
The RFP is available on the state's electronic procurement website.
Proposals are due at 2 p.m. EDT July 11. A hiring date has not been decided, Mr. Hundley said.
