Kentucky Teachers' Retirement System, Frankfort, committed $30 million to Riverstone Global Energy & Power Fund V, a private equity fund managed by Riverstone Holdings, confirmed Gary Harbin, executive secretary of the $15.2 billion pension fund.

The retirement system had about $30 million invested in the Riverstone/Carlyle Global Energy & Power Fund IV as of Dec. 31, according to a quarterly report on the pension fund's website.
Mr. Harbin was not available for additional information by press time.
